Million-Dollar Winner: Prize-Winning Ticket Sold At This Long Island Store

Christmas came early for one lucky Long Islander.

The New York Lottery announced that a million-dollar Powerball ticket was sold at a Levittown convenience store.

The New York Lottery announced on Tuesday, Dec. 19 that a second-prize-winning Powerball ticket, at a Levittown store.

Worth $1 million, the winning ticket was sold to a lucky customer at AJ7 Wine & Liquor, located at 172B Gardiners Avenue, and won in the Monday, Dec. 18 drawing.

Winning Powerball numbers are drawn from a field of one to 69, with a red Powerball drawn from a separate field of one to 26.

Drawings are televised on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:50 p.m.

During the fiscal year 2022-2023, the New York Lottery contributed $3.7 billion to help support education in the state.
